Administrative structure of the Syndicat du Fromage Saint-Nectaire

1,022 members elect a Board of Directors comprising 24 members elected for 3 years from which the Committee is drawn.

The Board of Directors recruits a Director whose responsibility is to implement all the measures defined or actions decided in the meetings of the Board.

The Director works with the support of a team, currently comprising:

  • 1 secretary
  • 2 cheese makers
  • 1 quality expert

He also heads the AESN - Association pour l’Expansion du Saint-Nectaire (Association for the expansion of Saint-Nectaire cheese) – a supply cooperative created along with the Syndicat du Fromage Saint-Nectaire (sale of small cheese making equipment, cleaning and maintenance products for the dairy and herd) which employs:

  • 1 technician
  • 1 secretary/bookkeeper

Board of Directors: The Board of directors of the Syndicat Saint-Nectaire has to be presided over by a producer of Saint-Nectaire cheese.
